So you think you’ve written the next best company list or episode for Unbridled Fury and you want to share it with the world? Please do! I’d love to add your file to our ever growing collection here on the web.
All that I ask is that you submit your list, episode or whatever in a standard format (it speeds up the process at my end, which means your stuff will make it into the UF family while you still remember it, rather than being put in the bottomless pile).
To make this process as simple as possible I have produced a number of ‘templates’ that I use to format everything. All that I ask is that you always ensure that the copyright notice remains intact in the footer of every file you create.
Once you have completed your masterpiece, add your name to the end of the footer area (after the copyright notice) so that I can properly credit you, and send it here to gaterohnn [at] unbridledfury.net. Once it has been checked over (and the minor templating thingies straightened up) the file will go online with all of the others!
To Summarise:
- Download the relevant template(s) for your company list or scenario (and OpenOffice, if you don’t already have it, or if you don’t have any of the other supported programs).
- Create a document using the template and edit it as any other, but don’t change any formatting, fonts or text sizes. These have to remain as they are!
- Leave the Copyright notice in the footer intact! This is important. Also important is that you add your name to the footer as we’ll need to credit you for authoring the file!
- Send the finished .odt file to me at gaterohnn [at] unbridledfury.net. I’ll do the final checks, fix the typography and upload it.
One thing that needs to be said: if you are including any scenarios, please playtest them thoroughly before sending them in. A scenario requires a reasonable amount of play balance that needs to be heavily tested before it is ready to be played by the rest of the UF community. A Note on Content
Unbridled Fury is built on unique content. By unique, I mean that our settings, company list fluff and everything else is our own work and the work of members of the community.
The only third party material that we will accept includes worlds based on out-of-copyright (public domain) texts and materials, or those to which written permission has been granted and verified by us from the copyright holder. I don’t mean to be a pain with this, it’s simply just the law in most countries upon our planet. And all references should be cited in your file if someone else’s work is referred to, even if out of copyright. The footer is sufficient for this, though in the introductory text is perfectly fine (and preferred) as well.
