Unbridled Fury Core Version 0.7.0 (codename ‘Atrax’) has been released today after some feverish development work by both myself and the development team. What you will get from the download is a stripped back, efficient rule set that produces very slick games that are complete in under an hour.

As usual the action is rapid and bloody. Games are still over in under an hour and feel like a real and intense skirmish action.

All extraneous stuff has been removed in order to facilitate the highest quality revision of the core rules. The game is now quicker to learn and easier to teach your friends.

The Core Edition will continue as a separate and freely downloadable rulebook. Regrettably the complete version will no longer be available online as much of it is going in our deluxe edition. We are in the process of developing the greatest skirmish gaming rulebook we can possibly produce: a hardcover published book with glossy colour pages and reams of original artwork that any gamer would be proud to own.

Changes to the download include:

• Removal of extras that get in the way of learning the most important rules;
• The addition of high-tech equipment options bringing the game into the science-fantasy genre. You can opt to restrict games to either classic fantasy (with limited options) or science fantasy (which has all the options).
• Weapons and armour are now generic. If you really must have a rapid fire apricot thrower, you can;
• Company lists get an extra 8 PAs to play with as the leader now costs 0 PAs;
• Rerolls for companies that cannot reach a full agreed points total because their profiles are too expensive (to make up the difference);
• A printer friendly rulebook that comes in at 50 pages, only the covers are full colour;
• A better layout, with examples clearly marked in sidebars rather than inline with the text;
• General clarifications and clean ups;
